Kids Zone

We want kids to have fun at the festival too! We have everything from amusement rides, painting pumpkins, a pumpkin derby and more.

Bring the whole family and let your little pumpkins enjoy a wide range of fun activities designed just for them. The Kids Zone offers a variety of hands-on experiences that will keep the young ones entertained all day long!


The Kid Zone is open Friday - Sunday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. (except where noted).

Pumpkin Painting & Derby with the Fitton Center

Let your creativity shine with pumpkin painting or test your speed in the pumpkin derby! The Fitton Center returns with these festival favorites, with help from local Boy Scouts volunteers.


Yard Games with the Boys & Girls Club of Hamilton

Challenge your friends to classic yard games, enjoy yard games and plenty of fall-themed excitement! The Boys & Girls Club will be on hand to provide hours of outdoor fun. Every child who attends will also receive a free tote bag, but not just any tote. These bags are designed to be colored on, turning them into a creative keepsake kids can decorate and take home!

A Calm Corner for Curious Minds at the Lane Tech Center in Journal Square

The Robert McCloskey Museum & Lane Tech Center to provide a quiet, cozy sensory space for festival-goers. Activities will include an area for nursing mothers, sensory slime, fidget toys, coloring, and storybooks.

  • Fri: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Sat: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Sun: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

On Saturday, they will be hosting a Mini Maker Fair for ages 8 - up.  Drop in to participate in a variety of hands-on, spooktacular crafting and learning stations. They will have indoor public restrooms and drinking fountains that are open to all.

Crafts & Scavenger Hunt with the City of Hamilton Health Department

Get crafty and explore the festival with a scavenger hunt led by the City of Hamilton Health Department. Fun and adventure await!

STEAM ACTIVITIES

Join the Miami University Regionals STEAM Studio for a day of free, hands-on STEAM activities! Perfect for all ages, this is your chance to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math —come make, learn, and play with us!

Wind Weavers Balloon Artist

Watch creativity take shape! Stop by to see our balloon artist twist, bend, and shape colorful balloons into amazing creations kids can take home and enjoy.

Amusement Rides

Get ready for a wild ride! Join us for thrilling amusement rides that promise fun for all. From the festival classics to heart-pounding rides, there's excitement for everyone. Rides will start at 4 p.m. on Friday and run through the festival. (Please note: Amusement rides are a paid activity.)
