Operation Pumpkin's Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off is Friday, October 11th!
Have you seen the prize structure and awards for Operation Pumpkin?! We're not only giving away $35,000 in prize money but also offering beautiful ribbons and belt buckles unique to Operation Pumpkin!
Did you know we are at a new location?! We have moved to the front of the festival directly in front of the Hamilton Municipal Building on High Street! Location for growers to unload and park TBD: stay tuned!
You do not want to miss out on this great event! Not only are we one of the BIGGEST GPC-sanctioned events but we are also voted the Best of Butler County's 2023 Best Annual Festival! The craziest part?! It's all free!
If you want to enter a pumpkin you have grown, bring it down! This year there will be no entry fee for growers!
If your pumpkin is under 1000lbs it will be subject to carving as this is a highlight of the festival. (If the pumpkin's cavity is exposed or if the grower wants their seeds, it will be arranged for the grower to harvest with a carver!)
IMPORTANT NOTES & RULES:
- All pumpkins must remain on site until Sunday, October 13th. We will start releasing pumpkins to growers at 3pm on October 13th.
- Click here if you need to book a room at the Courtyard Marriott. We have a special rate for growers.
- Please have all your information for registration when you arrive with your pumpkin. Failure to fill out the provided paperwork to completion will result in your pumpkin not being weighed.
- Drop-off starts at 10 am on October 13th and the weigh-off will begin at 4 pm sharp. Pumpkins must be unloaded 30 min prior to the start of the event to participate.
- Pumpkins need to be to GPC standards and rules.
- All entered pumpkins need to be established pumpkins (blooms will not be weighed).
- All pumpkins will be judged to GPC site standards, site coordinator is the final judge.
- All monetary prizes will be mailed out the following week after all info is verified.
- All pumpkins not picked up become the property of Operation Pumpkin to do with as they wish at the conclusion of the festival!
